Concepts for Final Model
"Focus on uses of space"- Adolf Loos
My Final Model was inspired by Adolf Loos' concept of the importance of effective use of space, . This is portrayed through the many levels of my train stop, this allows the inclusion of a minimalist tunnel to the road, a large platform and two separate outdoor leisure areas. This is achieved through the small set of stairs that allow access to all surfaces of the base blocks, allowing them to become spaces rather than inaccessible and unnecessary structure.

"What should be built rather than what can be built"- Rural Studio
This Rural Studio concept involves building for a purpose and need rather than including unnecessary features for merely aesthetics. I've attempted to incorporate this concept through my buildings roof. Apart from the cover supplied from the original 5 blocks all covering is created by thin glass slabs. Thus there is only a roof in areas where it is necessary. This allows the building to create essential shading with out the need for excess materials and cost.
